Lead HHH Facilitator to do the Te Ara Whakamana model with the client at an arranged time (helps to strengthen the learning).
$200 + GST.
The Lead Facilitator has been trained in the TAW model and it enables the context of the learning to be Te Ao Māori centred. The model focuses on a taiohi's mana and what keeps their mana strong - the tangata (people) they feel connected to; their whenua (land), their taonga (treasures); their wairuatanga (beliefs) and whakapono (values); their manaakitanga (how they take care of others); and tiaki i a koe (how they take care of themself). It then uses six of the Māori Atua to explore how the taiohi feels and acts at each level of escalation and what their triggers are. Finally a mana enhancement plan is created so the taiohi knows the tools they will utilise to calm themselves down in each stage of escalation, so they can communicate and behave in a way that keeps their mana strong and other people's mana strong. As such, this model enables the HHH programme to be delivered through a cultural and value based lens reinforcing taiohi identity and self-worth achieved by acting in accordance with one’s value. We also discuss the triggers the taiohi share during TAW in the HHH programme and how what they are learning at HHH can help to calm themselves down when faced with these triggers. The tools they have learned from HHH can then be included in their mana enhancement plan going forward.
